Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we do with your personal data when you visit or buy from this store. Gliho is the data controller for that information.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery and billing address, phone number if you give one, and the details of what you bought. We do not receive or store your full card number, which is handled directly by our payment processors.
When you browse we collect device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To fulfil your order and provide support. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To manage subscriptions and take recurring payments you have agreed to. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To send marketing emails where you have opted in. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To measure advertising through analytics and advertising cookies. Lawful basis: consent.
- To meet tax and accounting obligations. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the companies that make the store work: Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders; payment processors, which handle your payment; carriers, which deliver your parcel; our email provider, if you have subscribed; and analytics and advertising platforms such as Meta and Google, where you have consented to those cookies.
Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally it is protected by UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax requirements. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for up to 26 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email information@gliho.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the basket and checkout working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set where you have consented, and you can change that choice at any time through the cookie settings on this site or your browser controls.
Children
This store is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
